Perseverance

Oh what a week!! Perseverance is the word I am going to use this week!!! It’s Friday and the sun is shining ☀️! Thanking God for a warm home, running water, and a beautiful, sunny day! ☀️ Today I woke up with a smile and gratitude! I think we all know by now after every storm, there will ALWAYS BE SUNSHINE TO FOLLOW! It feels good to be back in action on this Friday working, working out 🏋🏽‍♀️, meditating 🧘🏽‍♀️, eating clean again, and most importantly mentally intact!

As a healthcare provider, I understand how important my health is and needs to be so I can care for others. This week I was not able to workout AT ALL!! I wasn’t able to even eat anything healthy due to being in survival mode most of the week. I could feel my body changing and reacting differently as I put certain foods in my body.

This week alone has shown me why it’s important to workout.

Caring for others has its own burdens, so it’s very important for us as healthcare providers to take care of ourselves so we can have something to pour in others!

Due to me not being able to eat healthy or workout because we were all in SURVIVAL MODE, had some effects on my body this week. 5 days of not working out 🏋🏽‍♀️ AT ALL has made me feel different!

Low energy- all the sugars I have put in my mouth due to stressing out this week

Acne- due to stressing out, eating unhealthy and barely drinking water 💧(had to preserve that) – I take pride in my skin regimen

Headaches and sinus pressure started again- no fruits this week at ALL! Eating fruits 🍎 has helped my sinus tremendously!

Mentally and physically out of there this week- no time for meditation 🧘🏽‍♀️ because it was just too cold 🥶

Today I returned to my beautiful scenery of meditation 🧘🏽‍♀️ and working out 🏋🏽‍♀️! I feel amazing and feel like we will all be ALRIGHT despite what we went through this past week! God is amazing 🙌🏽

I enjoy caring for people! I have to take care of myself in order to take care of others!

Happy Friday and I hope we don’t see a winter storm ever again because clearly, HOUSTON,TEXAS CAN NOT HANDLE ONE!!!
