I am a woman of GOD, mommy of two beautiful kids, wife to Sherman, daughter to two amazing parents, a passionate nurse, couple’s consultant, and an inspiring soul. I love to talk and listen to help people. I love to empower women to know their worth. I am passionate about my family and love. I love to travel and enjoy my life on my own terms. NEVER LET SOMEONE DICTATE HOW YOU MOVE IN LIFE. WRITE YOUR OWN STORY!!

LET’S HAVE SOME FUN AS WE ASPIRE TO BECOME A BETTER PERSON SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY, AND PHYSICALLY!! My mission is to allow God to use me by touching others with my words of encouragement!

Having fun!!!

Phenomenal Woman
By Maya Angelou
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms,
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing,
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need for my care.
’Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

  1. This is so awesome , I need a boost in the live laugh love dept. I’m a wife, new mommy, and busy practitioner.

    1. Awww thanks so much Arlise!!! I am glad you could stop by and be inspired by the words I have shared. Yes that sound busy. First off Congrats on becoming a new mommy! One of the best titles a girl could hold. As you may know I am a nurse too, so I understand when you SAY BUSY lol. I am not a practitioner SO I TIP MY HAT OFF TO YOU ONCE AGAIN. That’s is an awesome job title! I am also a wife so yes, YOU ARE ONE BUSY SOUL!! Lol! I will tell you to take one day at a time. Enjoy the ride, but whatever you do, DO NOT LOSE YOU on that ride!! So important to cater to all of those titles and forget about the main TITLE WHICH IS YOU!!! Remember to find balance and ALWAYS FIND THAT ME TIME! Finding your ME TIME will allow you to be PERFORM THOSE TITLES WITH JOY AND LOVE ALL THE TIME.
Thanks so much for your comment! I truly appreciate it and hopefully I gave some encouraging words to you! 😘😘😘
